The Simi Valley Family YMCA board of directors will hold its third annual Barn Party from 6 to 10 p.m. Sat., Sept. 9 at Strathern Historical Park.

This popular community event is the YMCA's major fundraiser.

The evening will include a live country band, entertainment, raffles, old-fashioned country barbecue, and silent and live auctions with some unique items, hosted by well-known auctioneer Todd Ventura.

The Y is still seeking donations for the auctions and for table and banner sponsors.

The Barn Party is an all-volunteer event with all of the proceeds going directly to YMCA community programs to benefit families, seniors, children and teens.

Tickets are $40 per person and are available at the Simi Valley YMCA at 3200 Cochran St. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
