The Los Angeles-based Pretzel Logic-A Steely Dan Revue will perform a free concert tomorrow, Sat., Aug. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave. in Simi Valley.

Pretzel Logic has been playing the festival scene, as well as the club circuit in Southern California, for the past five years. The group recreates the music of Steely Dan whose hits include "Reelin' in the Years," "Josie" and "Peg," among others.

The music of Steely Dan crosses many musical boundaries. From the jazzy horn lines and smooth vocals, to the rock guitar licks and funky grooves, the appeal is wide ranging, according to the event organizers.

The band consists of three vocalists, three horns and a solid rhythm section.
