Live entertainment arriving at Town Center in August
The Simi Valley Town Center will present live performances in jazz, swing, Dixieland and Latin music from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday from Aug. 1 through Sept. 7.
Festivo will bring its Latin rhythms and dance music each week during these shows. The
group plays salsa, chaca, flamenco rumba, and Latin dance music on a variety of instruments, including flamenco/classical guitars, bass, violin and Latin percussion, including congas, bongos, timbales, castanets, shakers and maracas.
Festivo has three to six performers, including leader Larry Rousseve, guitarist David Chaquin and percussionist Carlos Arias.
The featured artists at the weekday shows will also perform at Vino Jazz Festival, a major fundraiser for the Simi Valley Cul
tural Arts Center, scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 16 in the Center Court of Simi Valley Town Center.
The music series is sponsored by Jefferson at Simi Valley, newly
opened apartment homes north of the mall.
