Ron Tavakoli recently announced that he has signed a 15year lease in the Simi Valley Shopping Center to house his new Latin-fusion restaurant and nightclub concept, Limon Latin Grill. Tavakoli's 6,500-square-foot upscale Latin venue is tentatively scheduled to open Sept. 1.

Ed Ball of Newbridge Real Estate Services negotiated the lease agreement on behalf of Limon Latin Grill.

"We are excited and honored to add Limon Latin to our center," said Vickie Sherman, Simi Valley Center director of marketing. "The concept is an excellent compliment to the center's existing dining and shopping mix and we believe it is sure to be a crowd pleaser."

The new eatery will feature selections of Latin-influenced tapas, a fresh ceviche bar, full selection of top shelf wines and spirits, live entertainment and dancing similar to the top Brazilian nightclubs, and a lounge with a private VIP room and a champagne booth.

Outside is a large covered patio for mingling, dining and sipping wine selections from Chile, Portugal, Spain, France and California.

Collaborating with Tavakoli on the more than $1 million build out is interior designer Sasha White of Sasha White Designs. The existing space will undergo a complete remodel to add a new 45-seat bar and lounge and a separate 130-seat dining room.

"I have wanted to create a sexy Latin lounge for quite some time and now seems like the perfect opportunity," said Tavakoli. "I am passionate about food, and Latin influences are incredibly pre

dominant in pop-culture today: you see it on TV, hear it in music and see it in the latest fashion styles. Simi Valley doesn't currently have a stylish, comfortable place that has been infused with the colors, flavors and aromas of Latin culture. Limon will certainly fill that gap."

Tavakoli, a long time resident of Los Angeles, isa 15-year veteran of the restaurant industry with some of the top clubs and restaurants in California. He is also an accredited attorney and accomplished chef.

The restaurant's new and experienced kitchen team, headed by young culinary expert Ron McMillian, has created a new menu of signature entrees, tasting plates and seasonal dishes with an eclectic selection of favorite foods from various Latin cultures. Limon Latin Grill is at 1555

Simi Town Center Way and will serve lunch, dinner and late night diners seven days a week.
