James McKenzie, 33, of Simi Valley, was shot several times in the face and arm on July 12.

Officers from the Simi Valley Police Department answered a call to the 4800 block of Seminole Circle at 6:14 p.m. and found McKenzie, who had suffered several superficial wounds caused by pellets from a BB gun or Airsofttype weapon.

McKenzie was taken by ambulance to Simi Valley Hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not life threatening.

The suspect or suspects drove away in a possibly gray or silver Chevrolet SUV that had severe collision damage along its passenger side. No arrests have been made.
