This month the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce will launch the inaugural "Family Mixer" from 5 to 7 p.m. Thurs., July 27 at the Berylwood/Simi Valley Family Resource Center, 2300 Heywood St., Simi Valley.

This is the first of many events to bring the generations together and mix family time with business.

The mixer will feature business networking for adults while the children play.

There will be business bingo and also kiddie bingo and crafts for the children while parents mingle.

The chamber has been working to bring programs to its members in recognition of different generations now engaged in the chamber's roles.

Leigh Nixon, chamber president/CEO, said, "As I began to look at these various generations, I began to realize that we should find a way to introduce them to each other and provide a networking activity in a family-oriented endeavor."
