New website illustrates history of state role in education
     Did you know that in 1849, California's first Constitution set the pattern for the government's role in education, but that it was not until 1902 that the state voted to provide funds for it?

Couple gives $500,000 to CLU Early Childhood Center
     Mariclare and Marvin Suomi of Beverly Hills have pledged a $500,000 gift for the construction of a new Early Childhood Center on California Lutheran University's north campus in Thousand Oaks. The new center will replace the one that has housed the preschool for more than 30 years.
