Arts council salutes top students
The Ventura County Arts Council recently hosted a recognition reception at the Adolfo Camarillo Ranch House in Camarillo for 19 arts scholars from Ventura County. Each student successfully passed a rigorous application process to be selected to attend the 2006 California State Summer School for the Arts/InnerSpark session at CalArts in Valencia.
Each student was recognized with certificates from the council and state officials.

Erica Honles, Adolfo Camarillo High School, visual arts
Oak Park
Hannah Kaplan, Agoura High School, theater; Michelle Roll, Oak Park High School, creative writing; Jack Seidman, Oak Park High School, film/ video
Simi Valley
Paul Carlisle, Oaks Christian High School, animation; Christopher Hill, Simi Valley High School, instrumental music; Tamara McCarty, Royal High School, dance
Thousand Oaks
Saiya Yocum, Thousand Oaks High School, visual arts.
