Come to the U.S. the legal way

2006-06-30 / Letters

Mr. Torres (Simi Valley Acorn June 16), you should read Joy Lomenick's letter (April 28). It's a woman, not Mr.

I think her letter hit everything on the head about illegal aliens. Look up aliens. Let Mexico care for her own so we can care for our own, which we can't because of all the aliens. Our people do without medical, food and our schools lose 90 percent. Their own country doesn't want to care for them-it's sad.

I love people of all races. My people came into New York as aliens, worked themselves to death and became citizens. You see, I'm Irish. They were treated like dirt and looked down on, but we made it. We lived off no one. I have friends who came from Mexico who worked hard, learned English, went to school and became citizens proudly.

Mexico treats American like dirt, even their own.

Mr. Torres, she (Lomenick) states illegal anything cannot be condoned. Learn our laws. Use your dictionary.

Each country has its own laws and we have ours. Come into our country by the laws.

In Texas, there are mail boxes all along the boarder on the Texas side for people collecting welfare money in Mexico. They come across the boarder, get their check and go back to Mexico. This goes on every month. It needs to stop. My cousin lives in Texas. He lives not far from where this goes on. It makes me sick.

The aliens should go home and let us care for our own. Let their country care for them.

Come here the right way, become a citizen, work and pay taxes. No more under the table deals. Get health insurance and car insurance. Where do you get off thinking you're better than us?

Joy Lomenick said it better than anyone. I'm proud of her. Joy, you deserve a medal. I'm always going to keep your letter. Margaret Carroll Simi Valley
