Applications for rental of the Simi Valley Senior Center for 2007 will be accepted during an open reservation period from Mon., July 10 through Fri., July 14.

This will be the first opportunity for community groups, individuals and agencies to submit an application to rent the facility during 2007. After July 14, rental applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.

The recently expanded Senior Center facilities can be rented on weekday evenings and weekends for wedding receptions, parties, club meetings or other special events.

The Multipurpose Room can accommodate 175 persons at 5

foot round tables or 300 in theater-style seating. It has an oak floor, ideal for dancing. A partially-covered courtyard can be used to extend the space when larger groups use this room.

A full service kitchen is adjacent to the Multipurpose Room and can be used for banquets and food service.

Smaller rooms are also available, including classrooms, meeting rooms and smaller conference rooms. The set up and use of table and chairs is included in the rental charged. Reduced rates apply to nonprofit organizations.
