Local artists participate in ArtWalk
The work of a number of local artists will be on display and available for purchase at the 19th annual ArtWalk presented from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., June 3 and 4, in the east parking lot of The Oaks shopping center, Thousand Oaks. The event is a benefit for the Conejo Valley Art Museum, located in Thousand Oaks. Admission is free and food
and beverages will be available for purchase. A children's handson art booth and live entertainment will round out the weekend's festivities.
Following are some of the local artists who will participate in ArtWalk.
Moorpark:Tesi SanchezHalpert will display her whimsical metal sculptures.
Newbury Park: Max Becker is a local jeweler and former ArtWalk award winner and will display his creations.
Simi Valley: Judy Koenig and Pong Apinyavat will exhibit their watercolors.
Thousand Oaks: On view in the drawing and graphics category will be the work of Iris Carignan. In the mixed-media category, the work of Carolyn Counnas will be on exhibit. Dina Farris Appel and Hans Kegler will display their oil paintings.
Westlake Village:Ron McKee will exhibit his works in oil.
