2006-05-26 / On The Town

New York's biggest monster hit comes to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center in a feeding frenzy of fun.

"Little Shop of Horrors" is the musical comedy about a loser, the girl he loves, and the man-eating plant that is about to change their lives forever. Laughter, romance and horticulture combine in a spectacular evening of campiness and fun.

Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. June 3 through July 9.

One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time,

this affectionate spoof of 1950s science fiction movies began as a low-budget, black-and-white film by Roger Corman and remade as a color musical with Rick Moranis and Steve Martin with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $16 for seniors and students, and $14 for children 12 and under.

The center is at 3050 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. For more information and tickets, call the box office at (805) 5837900.
