Acrobatic dogs to perform at Cajun Creole Festival

2006-05-26 / On The Town

The Purina Incredible Dog Team will perform acrobatic tricks at the 17th annual Cajun Creole Music Festival, a fundraiser sponsored by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise, on Sat. and Sun., May 27 and 28 in Simi Valley.

The team demonstrates precision dog training for all ages with three 25-minute shows each day, beginning at noon.

The team has some of the world's most athletic canines. Trainer Lou Mack heads a team of six trainers and more than 20

dogs in excellent condition that perform freestyle routines, including back flips, headstands, back vaults and jumping nearly 15 feet in the air to catch a flying disc.

During a high-energy performance set to music, Mack and his trainers and dogs not only entertain, but also educate people about pet care and how the proper nutrition and training can bring out the best in any dog at any age.
