Bookstore hosts program to promote good manners

Author David Bruce Author David Bruce Simi Valley elementary school children are invited to Manners I. Care, The Traveling Show, the fun-filled puppet "extravaganza," at 7 p.m. Fri., May 12 at the Simi Valley Borders book store, 2910 Tapo Canyon Road.

Adapted from David Bruce's new children's book "Manners I. Care," The Traveling Show puppets take children on a magical journey to discover that good manners and sharing and caring bring fun and friends. The event will include a read

ing from the book, question and answer time, and book signing by Bruce.

"Manners I. Care" is the first in a 12-book series Bruce is writing. He donates 100 percent of his after-taxes royalties from books, up to $10 million, to charities that help children like KidsPeace, a 124-year-old national charity that works to bring peace to the lives of children and families in crisis.
