SAFETY FIRST--Jeff Ostrich, 15, from Troop 689 Simi Valley, and Adam Williamson, 17, from Troop 225 in Camarillo rake out their campfire at end of Ventura County Boy Scout Councilwide Camporee. The weekend event, held off Madera Road and the 118 Freeway, involved about 1300 young people aged 12 18.
