BILL SPARKES/Acorn Newspapers FATALITY-A 27-year-old Simi Valley man died at the hospital Wednesday after his black 2001 Dodge pickup truck veered off the 118 Freeway at about 5 p.m. and struck the Sycamore Drive offramp sign's support pole. The unidentified driver, who was alone in the truck, suffered major trauma, and succumbed to his injuries at Simi Valley Hospital.
