Kiwanis seeks sponsors for golf tourney

Simi Valley Kiwanis is seeking advertisers and sponsors for its 27th annual Golf Tournament on May 8 at the Wood Ranch Golf Course, 301 N. Wood Ranch Pkwy., Simi Valley. Advertisers can purchase tee signs for $100.

The club is also requesting silent auction items and raffle prizes, along with participants in the tournament.

The player fee of $150 will include a putting contest, chances for mulligans, driving range practice, lunch, golf cart, water and soft drinks on the course, and dinner following the tournament. The evening will conclude with a silent auction, raffle and trophy presentation.

Players will check in at 11:30 a.m., when raffle tickets will be available and the putting contest will take place, followed by lunch and tee-off at 1 p.m.

The format of the tournament, open to men and women, will be a two-man scramble with up to three flights, depending on handicaps. Players without handicaps will golf in the Callaway Flight. There will also be a Couple's Flight.

Proceeds of the tournament will support Simi Valley Kiwanis projects to benefit children's programs and the community.
