Christopher Klepic, 19, of Simi Valley lost control of his vehicle while driving at an estimated speed of 60 mph in a 40 mph zone at 11:29 p.m. April 18.

Klepic was driving a green Ford pickup eastbound in the 4900 block of Barnard Street, Simi Val

ley. The truck slid into a reinforced concrete mailbox and rolled over several times. Klepic was ejected from the truck and struck his head on the ground, resulting in major open head trauma and broken vertebrae. He was taken to Simi Valley Hospital.
