The Simi Valley YMCA will host free family nights once a month beginning March 31 at the center, 3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley. The events are designed to give families an opportunity to enjoy doing an activity together.

On March 31, families will participate in a photo scavenger hunt of objects in the city from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Families need to bring a digital camera and download cable. Prizes will be awarded to families who find the most objects by deadline.

Upcoming family nights include an Easter egg hunt with crafts and games on April 21 and movie night on May 19.
