Former mayor to be honored with tree planting

The city of Simi Valley's Tree Advisory Board will honor former Mayor Bill Davis with a tree planting at 10 a.m. Sat., March 18 on Alamo Street west of Tapo Canyon Road, near the police station at 3901 Alamo St.
The public is invited and refreshments will be served. Those attending should park in the lot west of the police station.
During the event the Tree Advisory Board will plant three cherry trees, one for each term that Davis, who promoted tree plantings, served as mayor.
The trees will be donated by the American Miyazaki Cherry Tree Association of Japan.
