The Simi Valley Unified School District is currently piloting K-12 social studies textbooks and instructional materials for adoption in 2006-07. Parents, teachers and community members are invited to preview these materials from 2 to 5 p.m. Mon., March 6 in the Floyd Binns Room at the school district office.

All of the materials are on the state adopted list and aligned with state standards.

The district reviews instructional materials in each curricular area every seven years.
