Drunk driving awareness event coming to SVHS
The Simi Valley High School PTSA will present the Every 15 Minutes drunk driving awareness program to 11thand 12thgrade students on Wed., March 8 and Thurs., March 9.
The two-day program involves a mock car crash caused by a drunk driver, an assembly that presents a student video of the events, guest speakers with real-life experience regarding drinking, driving and its consequences, and emotional speeches read by the participants.
The program uses the resources of the Simi Valley Unified School District, the California Highway Patrol, the Simi Valley Police Department, the Ventura County Fire Department, Simi Valley Hospital, American Medical Response Ambulance Service, Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, Dave’s Towing Service, Brandeis Bardin Institute and student volunteers.
