‘Y’ offers free family swimming

The public is invited to participate in free family swim sessions this summer at the Simi Valley YMCA at 3200 Cochran St., Simi Valley. “Summer Family Splash” will be held every Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. through Aug. 28.

Each week will have a theme, such as “carnival splash,” “luau splash” and “family team games.”

“Sunday afternoons are a great time to cool off in the YMCA pool after a hot summer weekend,” said Robert Martin, aquatics director. “We play water and booth games and serve snacks and drinks. We’ll also be featuring live musical entertainment on some of the Sundays. It’s a fun, free summer activity that’s perfect for the whole family.”
