Juvenile assaulted in front of convenience store

A juvenile was attacked by three suspects while he was using the payphone at 8 p.m. Fri., July 1 in front of the 7-11 store at Yosemite and Los Angeles Avenue, Simi Valley.

A vehicle with the three suspects drove up to the store. Two of the suspects got out of the vehicle and began beating the victim with their fists and feet. After the victim had been knocked to the ground, the third suspect got out of the vehicle and began to repeatedly stab the victim in the leg and torso while the other two continued to beat on him. The suspects fled and were not apprehended.

The victim was transported to Simi Valley Hospital for treatment. It is unclear at this time whether the incident was gangrelated.
