YMCA winter swim classes to begin
2005-12-16 / Schools
The Simi Valley Family YMCA will offer winter indoor swim classes beginning Sat., Jan. 7 and ending in April at the Y’s indoor pool, 3200 Cochran St. in Simi Valley. Classes are for all ages and skill levels.
“Most of us don’t think about a good time to learn to swim because the pool is less crowded,” said Robert Martin, aquatics director at the Y. “Swimming keeps kids physically active, even if it’s raining outside. Our pool is indoors and heated to 82 degrees so it’s very comfortable,” Martin said.
Sessions are four weeks long.
