Yesterday, Dec. 15, 37 students graduated from the associate degree nursing program at Moorpark College. They are now eligible to take the Registered Nursing board examination.

The graduation ceremony included a traditional pinning ceremony, recitation of the Nurse’s Pledge, and candle lighting to symbolize the profession’s beginning with Florence Nightingale going into the battlefield with a lantern.

Simi Valley graduates are Tracy Doria, Courtney George, Renee Howard, Melanie Jones, Amandeep Kaur, Tonya Kilpatrick, Teresa Kinser, Keri LaMantain, Rochelle Martinez, Van Nga  Nguyen, Traci Peters, Shelly Salvatore and Felix Aaron Santos.

Graduates also include Paula McGhee and Alexandra Yefimova from Camarillo; Harry Freeark from Chatsworth; Rose Godinez, Gabrielle Howell, Stella Kopyov and Allison Reeder from Moorpark; Kristen Fitzgerald and Lisa Trejo from Newbury Park; Crystal Moorehouse from Oxnard; Stacy Guerrero from Palmdale; Amber Barragan and Elsa Olaquez from Reseda; Truc Tran from Santa Paula; Jessica Moore and Duong Phan from Ventura and Franklin Alarcon from West Hills.

Thousand Oaks graduates are Carina Bowman, Debbie Cavanaugh, Mary Meador, Dawn O’Hara, Jinky Quemuel, Julie Reppert and Melissa Stephensan.
