New West Symphony program to inspire music appreciation
Families can experience classical music from a “dynamic up-close view” of Maestro Boris Brott conducting the New West Symphony through the Front Rows Club, a new program developed by the symphony’s education department.
The Front Rows Club offers families with elementaryschool-age children reduced price front row seats at New West Symphony concerts at the Countrywide Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza and the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.
Front row tickets (or best available) are $10 for children ages 5 to 12, and $15 for accompanying adults. The cost includes a pre-concert family event and an activity packet that can be completed at home to extend the live concert experience.
“Through this innovative program, families can come together to learn about classical music and experience the magic of a live performance that’s so close you can hear the musicians’ breathe and feel part of the music,” said Lynn DeckerMahin, director of education for the New West Symphony.
