Big Brothers Big Sisters now separate from Interface
Interface Children Family Services and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County announced that, effective Nov. 1, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County became a separate entity. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County joined the Interface agency in 1993 and has grown significantly under their auspices since then.
“We appreciate the support and guidance that Interface has given us over the past 12 years. They have encouraged our efforts to become an independent affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America,” said Lynne West, executive director. “It is now time for us to stand on our own with the help of a strong board of directors and community support. Since joining the Interface family in 1993, we have grown from serving 100 children a week to well over 700 children. We thank Interface for assisting us in helping so many children.”
