KCLU membership drive sets fundraising record

National Public Radio Station KCLU set a fundraising record of more than $200,000 during its annual fall membership drive in October. Credit for its success goes to the station’s more than 70,000 listeners throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, according to KCLU General Manager Mary Olson.

More than 200 listeners contributed to the new program development fund, which will enable the station to further develop local news programs, documentaries and other special segments.

“We are absolutely thrilled by the outpouring of support from our listeners and dedicated volunteers,” said Olson.

Located on the California Lutheran University campus, KCLU FM is in its 11th year of operation. KCLU broadcasts at 88.3 FM in Ventura County.
