Simi Valley Hospital recognized for data reporting

Simi Valley Hospital has been recognized for its active involvement in quality and safety data reporting. Health Net Inc., one of the nation’s largest publiclytraded managed healthcare companies, recently presented an award to Simi Valley Hospital for its participation in The Leapfrog Group and California Hospital Assessment and Reporting Task Force (CHART).

The Leapfrog Group facilitates improvements in the safety of healthcare services and works to give consumers more information so that they can make better informed decisions about their healthcare.

CHART is a voluntary group of about 225 California hospitals working toward the development of a universal “hospital report card” in the state that will be available to consumers, purchasers, health plans and the hospital industry.

The Health Net honor roll award was formally presented at Simi Valley Hospital’s Sept. 27 leadership meeting.
