Jim Vigdor and Kevin Casey of Alcoa Fastening Systems in Simi Valley recently presented the Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley with a $7,500 check in support of the club’s “Power Hour Homework Assistance Program.”

The program focuses on developing good homework habits by providing a time and place for daily homework assistance, tutoring, and educational enhancement activities to raise academic proficiency among students.

Alcoa is a world leader in the design and manufacture of highperformance fastening systems, specialty fasteners and components and installation systems for aerospace and commercial applications.

Alcoa’s support will help the Simi Valley club to actively pursue its mission of enriching the lives and shaping the future of girls and boys through access to quality programs and services.

The club gives young people access to adults who respect and listen to them, a safe environment and interesting, constructive activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits.
