Macy’s to sponsor Community Shopping Day

2005-10-14 / Community

On Sat., Nov. 5, Macy’s Simi Valley at the new Town Center Mall will host Community Shopping Day, a day-long shopping event to raise funds for local nonprofit organizations.

Participating organizations will sell $10 tickets and retain 100 percent of the ticket sales proceeds. Each ticket provides the bearer with a 15 to 20 percent discount on almost everything in the store during the day and a chance to win a shopping spree.

Macy’s will contribute an additional $3 for every pre-sold ticket redeemed during the Community Shopping Day. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of the event.

Shoppers may purchase tickets directly from a favorite participating nonprofit organization in advance or in-store at the registers.
