Senior Concerns elects new board members
Five new members have been elected to the volunteer board of directors and a new board chair chosen for Thousand Oaksbased Senior Concerns, a nonprofit social service agency founded in 1975 to provide day care and other services to the frail elderly and special-need seniors and their caregiver families in Ventura and western Los Angeles counties.
Karen Lindsey of Thousand Oaks, an 11-year member of the board, has been elected to a oneyear term as chairperson, succeeding Ronald Goldman, who remains on the board.
David Catlin of Westlake Village, Don Kendall of Oak Park, John G. Mogler of Camarillo, Mary D. Olson of Moorpark and Vickie Walluck of Simi Valley are new board members.
Senior Concerns operates a day care center at its 401 Hodencamp Road headquarters in Thousand Oaks, runs the area’s Meals on Wheels program, manages Ventura County’s Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center, provides an information and referral service, conducts seminars for caregivers on senior issues, manages Ventura County’s Financial Abuse Specialist Team and operates a boutique and thrift shop.
