Historical Society to host friendship tea fundraiser
The Simi Valley Historical Society will host a friendship tea fundraiser at 1 p.m. Sat., Nov. 5 at the Strathearn Historical Park, 137 Strathearn Place, Simi Valley.
Admission is a $30 donation to the society made in advance. Tickets are limited and may sell out, so early reservations are encouraged.
Live entertainment at the tea will include “A musical journey along the Lewis & Clark trail” as told by the expedition musician, Pierre Cruzatte. Playing fiddle, jaw harp, bones, spoons and other instruments of the time, musician Daniel Slosberg takes audiences on a musical voyage with stops along the way for humorous and moving stories about the journey and Cruzatte’s contributions as boatman, interpreter, hunter and musician.
A raffle will also be offered.
