Girls ages 8 to 20 are invited to attend the Rainbow Girls’ open house from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 20 at the Masonic Center, 1541 Patricia Ave, Simi Valley.

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a Masonic nonprofit, service-oriented organization open to all girls. Masonic affiliation is not required to join.

Pledge is for girls ages 8 to 10 and Rainbow Girls are ages 11 to 20. The organization teaches service, poise, leadership and public speaking.

The seven colors of the Rainbow represent seven teachings that each member receives on her journey toward the pot of gold.
