The Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District and other nonprofit organizations are selling fundraising tickets to the special charity shopping day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tues., Oct. 25 at Robinsons-May in the new Simi Valley Town Center mall.

Tickets are $5 and entitle the ticketholder to a preview day of shopping before the mall officially opens on Oct. 27.

Each ticket contains four discount coupons for 25 percent off merchandise purchased on the preview day. Ticketholders may purchase additional tickets if they plan to buy more than four items. Only ticketholders may enter the store during preview day.

The event includes sales, food, contests, gifts and a drawing for a $1,000 shopping spree.

Proceeds from tickets bought from the park district will benefit Simi Valley Alternative Recreation programs for children and young adults with disabilities through recreation classes, sports programs and independent living skills.
