2005-09-23 / Community
The eighth annual Ventura Relay for Life will be run this weekend, Sept. 24 and 25, at Royal High School, 1402 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.
The goal of the 24-hour event is to increase cancer awareness in the community while raising funds for the American Cancer Society. Last year, the Simi Valley Relay for Life raised more than $370,000.
Team members will take turns walking or running around the track and participating in activities and entertainment off the track.
For more information and times, please call the American Cancer Society at (800) 227-2345.
