Kevin, 10, seem to be laughing their heads off while simultaneously being scared.

Children are fun to watch at carnivals, midways and amusement parks. They

can show expressions of fear, excitement and delight—all at the same time.

A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION—Laura Cavillo, 3, left, of Simi Valley is pleased, but her sister, Karla,

5, looks like she’s ready for a ride that’s more exciting. The ones that were fun two years ago aren’t

the same when you’re 5. Another carnival continues at Simi Valley High School today through Sunday.

are popular attractions at carnivals. The soft drink vendors

should do well this weekend at Simi Valley High School.
