“It's Me - God!”
“My little children, let us not
love in word, neither in tongue;
but in deed and in truth.”
—1 John 3:18
Words in and of themselves mean nothing. It is easy for someone to say, "I love you." That doesn't mean it's true.
Love is something that must be shown, and not just with hugs or kisses. Love means putting the other person above yourself, making sacrifices, doing what is necessary to make that person safe and happy and secure.
There are those who show "love" with their fists. This is not love. Love is kindness, consideration, true giving of oneself.
Before you tell someone you love him or her, be sure you can follow this up with deeds that really show it. There is where the proof lies.
