The Bard at CLU Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival features “Richard III” and “The Merry Wives of Windsor” this summer in outdoor performances on the California Lutheran University (CLU) campus, 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. Grounds open 5:30 p.m. for picnicking and preshow entertainment with musicians, dancing, juggling and sword-fighting demonstrations prior to the 8 p.m. curtain call. “Richard III” begins tonight and also plays July 2-3, 8-10 and 22-24; “Windsor” on July 15-17, 29-31 and Aug. 5-7. at Harbor Channel Islands Harbor will celebrate Fourth of July with its eighth annual Fireworks by the Sea.
