Eight new retailers to join Simi Valley Town Center

Two women’s clothing stores, an upscale home décor retailer, three children’s merchants, a restaurant and an active lifestyle store for teens will be coming to Simi Valley Town Center.

The new tenants will join Macy’s, Robinsons-May and the 28 retailers already announced.

Two of the new stores, Ann Taylor Loft and Bombay-KIDS, are new to Ventura County and all retailers are new to Simi Valley.

Simi Valley Town Center, the 600,000 square foot, outdoor, regional shopping and entertainment district under construction along Highway 118 between First Street and Erringer Road, is the first new regional center to be developed in Ventura County in over 25 years.

Developers announced the center will open Thurs., October 27.

“We expect that shoppers who are accustomed to visiting enclosed malls will shop at this outdoor center for the sheer experience and relaxation of the Main Street, Mediterranean village environment,” said Brian Jones, president of Forest City West, developer with The Corti Gilchrist Partnership and The Finley Group, partners in Simi Valley Town Center, LLC.   Following is the list of the new tenants:• Ann Taylor Loft, the Ann Taylor brand for value conscious women, offers moderately priced specialty apparel and accessories.• Bombay sells home furnishings, furniture and home décor pieces.• BombayKIDS offers home furnishings in kid-friendly designs, warm colors and textures.• Brooks Shoes for Kids carries high fashion and most of the major domestic and European brands.• California Pizza Kitchen will open a full service establishment. The restaurant specializes in pizzas, appetizers, pastas, salads and desserts.• Charlotte Russe appeals to a wide customer age range with emphasis on teens and women in their twenties, offering clothing and accessories at value prices in an upscale store environment.• The Children’s Place, a specialty retailer of children’s merchandise from newborn to age 10, sells quality, value-priced apparel and accessories under its own label.• Tilly’s is a Southern California-based apparel specialty chain for teens featuring surf wear, skate wear, motorcross and other active lifestyle trends.

“We anticipate more than 114 stores announced by the time the center opens,” said Jones. “There will be other exciting tenants to be announced soon.”
