Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital to host open house
Thousand Oaks Surgical Hospital invites the community to celebrate the opening of the hospital at their Open House event from 9 a.m. to noon Sat., May 7 at 401 Rolling Oaks Drive, Thousand Oaks. The event will feature hospital tours, education forums on a number of topics, health screenings including osteoarthritis screenings from orthopedic surgeons as well as information tables on a variety of surgical procedures. Many of the local physicians will be participating.
"This event gives us the opportunity to show the community how we are changing the standards. This is reflected in the way in which every surgeon, nurse and support staff member is dedicated to the quality of care each patient receives. It is a great kick-off to National Hospital Week," said Kelly Terrell, director of human resources.
Owned jointly by 45 local physicians and Fresno-based FSC Health, Inc., the hospital opened last January. Surgical services include performing major and minor procedures for inpatients and outpatients in many areas of specialization. Licensed by the state of California as a general acute care hospital, the facility has six operating rooms, one cysto/urology suite and 21 spacious "hotel-quality" private patient suites.
"It is exciting to open a premier hospitality-inspired surgical hospital for the patients and physicians in our community," said Carol Freeman, administrator. "We invite the entire community to come see for themselves."
