Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center and Actors Repertory Theatre of Simi (A.R.T.S.) announce the summer schedule for children and teen acting and improv classes. The sessions will be held at the A.R.T.S. rehearsal space at 1241 Los Angeles Ave., Simi Valley. The cost is $150 per six week session and family discounts are available.

"Kids Act Out!" is a six-week acting and improv class for children ages 9 to 12 years and will meet 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays, beginning on June 11.

"Teens Act Out!" is a six-week acting and improv class for youth ages 13 to 17 years and is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays beginning June 11.

Improv classes for all ages will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Mondays, starting June 13.

Classes will be taught by L.J. Stevens, who has appeared in productions at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center and the Santa Paula Theatre. A former casting director and children’s talent agent, L.J. has taught and coached children in Los Angeles and New York.
