The Simi Valley Historical Society is seeking community-minded residents to serve as docents at the Strathearn Historical Park and Museum. The next training classes will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tues., May 17 and 24 and Thurs., May 29 and 26 at the park, 137 Strathearn Place, Simi Valley.

Docent hours are flexible and require only a minimum of one Saturday or Sunday or two weekday tours per month. Adults of all ages may participate.

Volunteers will receive special training that covers the Chumash Indian, Spanish Rancho and American history of Simi Valley.
