Kidd reelected to third term

Simi Educators Association President Arleigh Kidd has been reelected to begin a third term as the 1,000-member teachers’ association president. Kidd was first elected as president in April 2002 and reelected in April 2003. Kidd’s new term will begin July 1 and run through July 1, 2007.
The Simi Educators Association rep council reelected Kidd by affirmation at their representative council meeting on March 16. Bylaws allow election by affirmation of the rep council when officers are running unopposed. Also reelected by affirmation were vice president Luke Bannon and treasurer Brad Swopes.
