Local redesign specialist Marcia Smart was recently elected for a second term as the executive director of the Interior Redesign Industry Specialists.

Founded in Southern California, Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (IRIS) is an international professional association for members of the interior redesign community.

IRIS is a nonprofit organization that exists to encourage, enlighten and educate the profession of interior redesign through commitment, communication and camaraderie.

Smart, owner of Smart Interior Styling, is a professional interior redesigner and decorator who enhances both the look and function of interior spaces by rearranging the homeowner’s existing furniture, artwork and accessories for maximum impact.

As an accredited Home Staging Professional, she also offers Redesign for Real Estate home sale preparation services. In addition to her duties as director of IRIS, Smart is an instructor of professional interior redesign and conducts local workshops and training seminars.
