Army Spec. Micah J. Garside-White will deploy to Afghanistan to serve as a member of Combined Joint Task Force-76 (CJTF-76). He is assigned to the Southern European Task Force (airborne) based at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy. He is the son of Marie Garside of Simi Valley.
Air Force Airman Vanessa M. Delgado has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Paul Delgado Jr. of Simi Valley and a 2004 graduate of Royal High School.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Brent Gibson has been deployed to Southwest Asia to support missions in Iraq. He is an F-15 jet fighter avionics apprentice regularly assigned to the 48th Component Maintenance Squadron/Consolidated Avionics Section at RAF Lakenheath, England. He is the son of Don Gibson of Simi Valley. The airman graduated in 1997 from Thousand Oaks High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2002 from Cal State Long Beach.
