President Reagan’s birthday to be celebrated on Sunday
Former President Ronald Reagan will be honored on the anniversary of his birthday with military fanfare on Sun., Feb. 6 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.
Beginning at 10:45 a.m. Camp Pendleton’s Marine Corps brass quintet will perform. A wreath service and 21-gun salute will be directed by Maj. Gen. Timothy Donovan, commanding general at Camp Pendleton.
Following the ceremonies, birthday cake will be served in the main lobby all day for as long as supplies last. Guests may sign the memorial books that will be sent to Nancy Reagan and family.
All birthday-related events are free to attend; however, regular museum admission ($2 to $7) applies to guests visiting exhibits. Active military personnel with current I.D. will be admitted free for the day to all museum exhibits.
