A suspect committed vandal- ism at 9 a.m. Jan. 3 in the 200 block of East Cochran Street. The damages weren’t reported.

Between 4 p.m. Jan. 1 and 9:30 a.m. Jan. 2 in the 1600 block of Hi Drive, a thief stole a power saw, a weed eater, a leaf blower, a chainsaw and a hedge trimmer. The loss was $1,500.

The loss was $1,910 when tools and a toolbox were stolen between 4 p.m. Dec. 30 and 3:20 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 4600 block of Runaway Street.

At 6 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 3200 block of Sheri Drive, the loss was $9,640 when a TV, a VCR, a guitar, a picture scanner and some clothing were stolen.

Police arrested a suspect for embezzlement at 3:10 p.m. Dec. 31 at Target in the 2900 block of Cochran Street.

Someone was detained for burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a deadly weapon at 2 a.m. Dec. 31 in the 2800 block of Cochran Street.

A thief stole five cell phones, a TV, some cash and some other miscellaneous items at 1:20 a.m. Dec. 31 in the 2800 block of Cochran Street. The loss was $1,300.

Between 7 p.m. Dec. 29 and 9 a.m. Dec. 30 in the 400 block of Alamo Street, the loss was $2,700 when someone stole some cash. The damages were $500.

The loss was $735 when a purse and its contents were stolen between 8 and 11 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 2000 block of Pluto Court.

An unknown suspect stole a portable air conditioning unit and some other miscellaneous items between 5 p.m. Dec. 28 and 6 a.m. Dec. 29 at the Holiday Inn Express in the 2500 block of Erringer Road. The loss was $1,600.

Between Dec. 29 and Jan. 4, the following items were reported in the community: eight incidents of possession of a controlled substance, five incidents of driving under the influence, two incidents of illegal drug intoxication and one incident of public intoxication.
