Flu vaccine arrives

A limited supply of flu vaccine will be available Mon., Nov. 1 in Simi Valley, health officials said.

The Ventura County Public Health Department will provide the vaccines for high-risk individuals in its five clinics countywide. Vaccine doses are in short supply nationwide and the county encourages only those people who are in the high-risk category to request the shot.

In Simi, the clinic will begin at 8:30 a.m. and supplies are expected to run out by noon, the health department said.

The clinic will be at 660 E. Los Angeles Ave., Suite B-2. The cost is $15 without a Medicare card.
